He was predeceased by : his parents, Ricky Joe and Deborah McNelley Charles; and his grandparents, Joe, Francis Charles and Bobby McNelley.

He is survived by : his sons, Brayden Lee Charles and Kenden Joseph Ray Charles; his sisters, Andrea Ricker of Ten Mile and Haley McNelley of Athens; and his grandmother Billie McNelley. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews.
