He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Jackson Monroe; his children, Sandra Marvin (Tom) and Gary Ross Monroe (Marilyn); and his grandchildren, Dr. Steven Blake Housley (Amy), Dr. Melissa Reynolds (James) and Tempie Nichole Monroe. He is also survived by 9 Great-Grandchildren.
