With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Paul Head of Athens, Tennessee, born in Fredericktown, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 22, 2025 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his wife Merita Faye Mowell Head; his daughter Melisa Gail Higdon (Head); his parents, James Noel (Rock) and Mabel Head; and his siblings, Bonnie Cooper, Sue Skaggs, Jim, Virgil, Harold and Dave.
He is survived by: his daughter Teresa Head; his son-in-law Mike Higdon; his grandson John Higdon (Melanie); his great grandchild Melisa Joyce Higdon (MJ); his brother Mike Head of Florida; his sister-in-law Lou Head of Missouri; his cousins, Judy Freeman and Deb Cordell; and his close friends, Wayne, Linda Richesin, Martha and Randy Dodge.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, that you make donations in his memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Parkinson's Foundation.
