Ray Priest Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ray Priest of Athens, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 2, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward M. Priest and Ethel Finney Priest; his grandson Matthew Priest; his sisters, Frances Bidwell (Bill) and Mary Priest; and the mother of his children Susie Leslie Priest.

He is survived by: his children, Amie Simbeck (Jon) of Athens, Angie Barnett (Rusty) of Englewood and Andy Priest of Athens; his grandchildren, Dr. Tyler Forrest (Emily), Grant Barnett (Lauren), Ashley Hicks (Joshua), Drew Priest, Emma Barnett, Natalie Wright (Josh), Chelsea Hyde (Nathan) and Roland Banhoro (Geri); and his siblings, Margaret Sneed (Lester) of Beverly Hills, FL and Harold Priest (Martha) of Chattanooga. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, numerous extended family members and special friends.
