He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Gunter and Lillian Gunter (Farmer); his siblings, Leroy Gunter of Athens, Jackie Gunter of Englewood, Faye Gunter, Mary Sue Land of Englewood, Margaret Hale of Etowah and Rebecca "Becky" Porter of Englewood; and his siblings-in-law, John Land, Joe Hale and Mary Ann Gunter.
He is survived by: his siblings, Tommy Gunter of Cleveland, Gary Gunter of Athens, David Gunter (Millie) of Cleveland and Paula Guffey (John) of Athens. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
