He was predeceased by: his parents, Naomi Nance Wright and Roy Barton Wright; his wife Terry Lynn Wright; his brother James "Jim" Ernest Wright; and his grandson Damion Kauffin.
He is survived by: his children, Nicholas Clyde Ray Thompson (Cindy), Tina Young (James), Crystal Hitson (Chris), Keysha Wright and Miranda Gourley (Jared). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
