He is survived by: his wife Brenda Sue Black; his son Samuel Lee Black II; his daughter-in-law Angel Lee Black; his grandchildren, Caleb Russell, Brooke Stakley and Josh Russell; his brother Gary; his sister-in-law Cindy Black; his sister Cathy; his siblings-in-law, Phil Roland and Henrietta Black; and his pet Tiny. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the McMinn Memory Gardens (1727-1739 Co Rd 560, Athens, TN 37303).
