We are sad to announce that on July 23, 2025, at the age of 72, Sheila Yarbrough (Athens, Tennessee) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleveland Drake and Elizabeth Drake; her brothers, Brent Drake and Kenneth "Kemp" Drake; and her husband Lynn "Birdie" Yarbrough.
She is survived by: her children, Shelly Thomas (Danny) and Todd Appleton (Holly); her stepson Bruce Yarbrough (Renee); her grandchildren, Nicole Swafford, Braeden Morgan, Greysun Appleton, Brody Morgan, Dexter Yarbrough, Shelby Smith (Anthony), Anna Jaye Vincent (A. J.), Avery Vincent, Kayleigh Thomas and Braxtyn Thomas; her great grandchildren, Brett "Shoog" Swafford, Lillian, Scarlett Smith, Jude Yarbrough, Harrison Avery Thomas and Sheila; and her sisters, Frances Browning, Faye Bobo (J. K.) and Amy Beaver. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Companion Funeral Home (400 S White St, Athens, TN 37303). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
