We bid farewell to Susan Marie Steckley of Athens, Tennessee, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 8, 2025 at the age of 66. Susan touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Merland Tyrrell and Greta Yoder; her granddaughter Lily Steckley; her brother Randy Tyrrell; and her parents-in-law, Don and Kathy Steckley.
She is survived by: her husband John Steckley; her son Jason Steckley (Brittany); her grandchildren, Jenna Steckley, Cooper Steckley, Harper Steckley and Beckett Steckley; her sisters, Brenda Mott (Timothy) and Linda Cole (Dan); and her sisters-in-law, Janelle Steckley (Terry Ashcraft) and Sue Steckley.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home (521 N Jackson St, Athens, TN 37303). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In leiu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
