He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy "Pop" Barnett and Mary Francis Barnett; his children, Shane Coats and Adrienne Phillips; and his grandson Tanner Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Barnett; his children, Chris Barnett (Cheryl) of Arlington, Chloe Barnett of Paris, TN and Sabrina Lowry (Dustin) of Burlison; and his brother Richard Barnett of Potts Camp, MS. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Covington Funeral Home (3499 U. S. 51 S, Covington, TN 38019). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at the Indian Creek Cemetery (2475 Indian Creek Rd, Brighton, TN 38011).
