He is survived by: his wife Linda Bailey Dawson; his daughters, Amy Lenagar (Heath) of Brighton and Emily Simpson (Craig) of Covington; his grandchildren, Jack Bailey Simpson, Dawson Simpson, Parker Simpson and Riley Burgess (Colby); and his brother Charles Dawson of Dyersburg.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (403 S Main St, Covington, TN 38019).
