We announce the death of Wayne Sexton in Atoka, Tennessee, born in Tiplersville, Mississippi, who passed away on July 23, 2026, at the age of 85. Wayne will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Powell Sexton and Lee O. Leopard Sexton. He is survived by: his children, Christina Gann (Michael), Michelle Goodwin and Gary Burlinson; his siblings, Ricky Sexton, Marie, Bobbi Stowall, R. L. Sexton, Charline Beach, Kyle "Blackie" Sexton, Billy Joe Brown and Lucie Mason; his sons, Freddie Sexton and Bill Manley; and the mother of his children Hazel Cox Sexton. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 3 great, great- grandchildren.
