It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edmond Ronald Murphy Sr. of Bartlett, Tennessee, who passed away on November 4, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his daughter Michelle Smith; and his brothers, John Harrison and Michael Harrison. He is survived by: his wife Harriet Murphy; his children, Katherine White (Jerry) and Edmond Murphy Jr. of Bartlett; his siblings, Geraldine Cumbee of Newnan and Terry Murphy (Vera) of Lafayette, Georgia.; his grandchildren, Gina Travis (David) of Clermont, Brett Willard (Amber) of Munford, Leigh Ann Tippett-Emerson (Kevin) of Bartlett, Lindsey Murphy of Bartlett and Samuel White of Bartlett; and his great grandchildren, Anna Siwek, Matthew, Micah, Caleb Travis, Gavin, Lexi, Cooper Willard, Gia, Eli, Khi White and Leiland Murphy.
Cremation will follow collection and donation of any useful organs. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Al Chymia Shrine Hospital Transportation Fund, 8220 Highway 64, Oakland, TN 38060 or to the Memphis Scottish Rite Foundation for Childhood Language Disorders, 825 Union Avenue, Memphis, TN 38103.
