He is survived by: his wife Gail Washburn Powell; his goddaughter Stephanie Stevens (Michael); his aunt Shirley Hammons; his half-sisters, Mitzi Foust (Rick) and Laura Feldworth; and his pets, Sassy and Sinner.

In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made in Jerry's memory to Crossway Cowboy Church in Brighton, TN or Ellendale Baptist Church in Bartlett, TN.
