We are sad to announce that on March 1, 2025, at the age of 83, John Frederick Schmidt Sr. (Bartlett, Tennessee) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Jane; his parents, Frederick Schmidt and Lillian Schmidt; and his siblings, Mani and Robert.

He is survived by: his children, Carol Anne Krock (Brian), John Schmidt, Jr. and Patrick Rhodes (Julia); and his grandchildren, Samantha Schmidt, John Schmidt III, Rebekka Schmidt, Erika Schmidt, Sydney Krock, Benjamin Krock, Niklas Hayes (Christina) and Teresa Schmidt.

Memorials may be made to Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation.
