As we bid adieu to Joyce's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Joyce has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Smith and Edweina Kimbrell Smith; her siblings, Tim Smith (Janice Smith) and Jeanne Smith Karakurt; and her brother-in-law Terry Phelps.
She is survived by: her sisters, Pamela Smith Phelps and Patricia Smith Foster; and her brothers-in-law, Stephen Foster and Ozden Karakurt, Sr.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews she loved.
During this time, she was a faithful and active member of Temple Baptist Church and active in the Easter Seals charity.
