He was predeceased by: his wife Evelyn Smith; his daughter Catherine Flanagan; his grandson Clint Carlson; his great grandchild Kailee Douthit; and his parents, Thelma M. Wilkinson and Charles R. Carlson.
He is survived by: his children, Dick Jr. (Carla), Bobby (Kathy) and Laurie Michael (Stephen). He is also survived by six granddaughters and six great-grandchildren.
