She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph J. Lee and Virgina Mae Lee; and her brother Ralph P. Lee. She is survived by: her husband Richard Sampey Floyd, Jr.; her children, Richard Sampey Floyd III (Rosemary Boswell), Rebecca Lee Moore, Robert Steven Floyd (John Lester Castillano) and Ronald Spencer Floyd (D'Andrea Floyd); her grandchildren, Kevin Moore, Kaylee Floyd, McKenzie Floyd, Jordin Moore and Ruby Floyd; her sister Kathy McCoy (Paul McCoy); her mother-in-law Emily Rose Lee; Jonathan Paul McCoy, Benjamin Jae McCoy (Brandy McCoy), Justin Anderson McCoy (Whitney Mauldin) and Matthew Lee.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Rita Floyd's honor.
