He was predeceased by: his wife Jo Hazel Umphrey Watson; and his siblings, Katherine Kruger, Irvin Watson, Larry Joe Watson and Tony Watson.

He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Vanwart (Lewis) of Bartlett, TN and Linda Schultz of Bartlett, TN; his siblings, Laura Hamley and Jerry Watson; and his great grandchildren, Zackary Vanwart, Haleigh Pannell, Londyn Vanwart, Hazel Grace Vanwart, Harper Vanwart and Watson Thomas Vanzant.
