She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie McCarty and Walter McCarty of Erin; and her siblings, Pat McCarty, Anthony McCarty, Joan Smith, Angela Cook and Eleanor Cook.

She is survived by: her sons, Andy Gay (MaryAnn Gardner) of Cowan and Kim Gay (Sandy Carlton) of Bartlett, Tennessee; her grandsons, Andrew Gay (Heather Robbins), Matthew Gay of Bartlett and Eliot Gardner Gay of Carthage; and her great grandchildren, Ezra and James Thomas Gay of Bartlett, Tennessee..
