He is survived by: his wife Shirley Smith Carr of Cookeville; his children, Craig Carr of Lafayette, Amy Hall (Jason) of Cookeville and Cynthia Yancey of Chestnut Mound; his grandchild Ashley Clemons (Mason); his family, Ben Guffey (Stevie), Ayden Hall, TJ Wilmoth, Ruby Yancey, Jessica Tyree and Kaitlyn Carr; and his great grandchildren, Clyde Clemons, Clover Clemons, Ollie Guffey and Archer Guffey.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Baxter Chapel (532 4th Ave S, Baxter, TN 38544). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at the Smellage Memory Gardens (10825 Hopewell Rd, Silver Point, TN 38582).
