He was predeceased by : his wife Joyce Waller West; his son James "Jimmy" Darryl West; his parents, Silas West and Opal Sliger West; and his siblings, Hilda Christine Vinson, Janet Lee Bush and Bobby West.

He is survived by : his daughters, Christy Palmer and Mary Ruth West; his daughter-in-law Rhonda West of Baxter; his grandchildren, Aimee Palmer, Brandi Myatt, Andrew Myatt, Jamie West and Toni Paradis; his great grandchildren, MacKenzee, Hunter, Rylee, Olivia, James, Miranda, Cory, Lauren, Chelsea, Stevie and Hank; and his great great grandchildren, Naliyah, Isaiah, Jasiah, Levi and Lane.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Smellage Memory Gardens.
