He was predeceased by : his parents, Elisha McDaniel and Mollie McDaniel; his brothers, Dean and Eugene McDaniel; and his sister-in-law Helen Sue McDaniel.

He is survived by : his daughters, Melissa Everhart (Virgil) and Dr. Staci Boruff (Scott); his grandchildren, Suzanne Everhart, Joshua Everhart (Madisen), Riley Boruff and Bailey Boruff; his sister Myrtle Lamb; his siblings-in-law, C. H. Harvel and Phyllis McDaniel; and also, Richard and Nancy West. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
