We announce the death of Fred Von Boyd of Bells, Tennessee, born in Fruitvale, Tennessee, who passed away on October 8, 2026, at the age of 96. Fred will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Boyd and Tinnie Boyd; his former wife Ruby Boyd; his daughter Kathy Fergie; and his brothers, Quinton and James Boyd.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Boyd; his son Tony Boyd (Elaine); his stepsons, James McCuan and Bryant McCuan (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Tim Boyd (Krystal), Lindsey Nelson (Dale Jr.), London Clayton (Dusty), Carly McCuan and Britton Carycraft (Andrew); and his great grandchildren, Alli Dunning (Camryn), Gracyn Ubelhor (Kaden), Owen Boyd, Evan Boyd, Hunter Nelson, Mason Nelson, Gabriel Boyd, Oliver Clayton and Graham Clayton.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cypress Community Church (78 Cypress Church, Bells, TN 38006). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
