He was predeceased by : his parents, Allen Whitehead and Gladys Canaster Whitehead; his wife Patricia Epperson Whitehead; his son Timothy William Whitehead; and his siblings, Jimmy, Bob, Charles, Thomas, Allen, Larry Whitehead, Annie Poole and Patsy Mitchell.

He is survived by : his daughters, Carla Obie (Calvin Jarrett) of Humboldt, TN and Rita Budinsky (Paul) of Jackson, TN; and his sister Paulette Fultz (Richard) of Humboldt, TN. He is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
