Rita Hendrix Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Hendrix of Bells, Tennessee, who passed away on October 13, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Roy Crossnoe; her former husband Clarence "Red" Davis; her grandparents, Ruffin, Ina Crossnoe, Raymond and Virgie Powell; her sister Deborah Crossnoe Roberts; and her sister-in-law Bettie Plunk.

She is survived by: her mother Shelby Powell Crossnoe; her husband Lonnie Hendrix; her brother Jeff Crossnoe (Gina); her brother-in-law Johnnie Hendrix (Linda); her uncle Frank Lee; her aunt Brenda "Bren" Lee; her sibling's children, Chad Roberts (Emily), Dwayne Hendrix (Tammy), Lacey Hollingshead (Justin) and Jeanette Hendrix Cobb (Steve); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jameson Hollingshead, Andy Henderson (Kelsie), Christopher Hendrix (Amber), Carlee Cox, Lilly Hollingshead, Jolee Hollingshead, Shelby Gracie Roberts, Ashley Campbell (Paul), Amber Henderson (Mel), Jessica Overton (Bobby) and Corie Ballard (Brandon). She is also survived by many great-great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bells Funeral Home (5342 College St, Bells, TN 38006). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cypress Community Church Cemetery (539 Cypress Church, Bells, TN 38006).
