He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Smith and Lucy Smith (Pate); his wife Ruthie Jane Clark Smith; his children, Tim Smith, Sr., Brenda Smith, Wanda Pattillo, Judy White and Janet Smith; and his siblings, Ophelia Brazier, Mary Kirk, Ralph Smith, John Smith, Bob Smith, Charlie Smith, Joe Smith and Russel Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Leo Smith (Peggy), Jerry Smith (Brenda), Melody Brown (Frankie), Cindy Jackson (Ray) and Mary Smith Vandiver; and his close friend Juanita Hall. He is also survived by 41 grandchildren; 96 great-grandchildren; 92 great-great-grandchildren.
