He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Burger and Ethel Rhodes Burger; his wife Lurena Dale Burger; his stepchildren, Alice Phillips, Kenneth Burger and Larry Burger; and his siblings, Heman L. "Junior" Burger, Jr., James A. Burger, Linda S. Burger and Lillian E. Burger.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Ronald Burger, Bobby Burger, Anthony Burger, William Burger, Jan Rayburn, Carol Waters and Tammy Branham.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery (474 Pleasant Hill Rd, Copperhill, TN 37317).
