He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Carole Pirkle; his parents, Kathleen Pearl "Sweet" Tummins Pirkle and Ward E. Pirkle; and his brothers, James "Jim" (Bryanna Lynne) and John Ward Pirkle.

He is survived by: his sons, Ronald Greg Pirkle and Phillip Gary Pirkle; his stepchildren, Jesse Dalton (Stacy) and Jennifer Beard (Tyler); his grandchildren, Lakota Pierce (Brandon), Shakori Cardin (Matt) and Jack Beard; his great grandchild Levi Pierce; and his sister-in-law Manya Pirkle.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Benton Memorial Gardens (217 Patty Rd, Benton, TN 37307).
