He was predeceased by: his parents, Monroe Carroll and Delzia Chastain Carroll; his wife Billie Bates; and his siblings, Milburn "Buster" Carroll, Betty Sue "Boo-Boo" Dalton and Doris "Snake" Rogers.
He is survived by: his sons, Gary (Carroll), David "Cicero" Carroll (Debbie) and Jonathan "Bump" Carroll; his grandchildren, Alison "Sweet Pea" Lee (Chris), Courtney "Mort" Schmidt (Cody), Taylor "Precious" Carroll, Autumn "Egg" Carroll, Cody Young, Carson "Fess" Carroll and Chloe; his great grandchildren, Kate Lee and Carter Schmidt; and his sister Nina "Mop" McNelley.
