He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Matlock and Jennie Hardin Matlock; his children, Mike Matlock and Glenda Tull; and his grandson Hunter Carroll.
He is survived by: his wife Genell Matlock (Hickman) of Saltillo; his children, Jerry Matlock (Patricia) of Selmer, Teresa Morgan (Steve) of Saltillo and Pamela Hopkins (Terry) of Corinth, Mississippi; and his niece Ruth Johnson of Corinth, Mississippi.. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
