He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Cleveland Atkinson, Jr. and Annie Lou Lynn Atkinson; his wife Patricia Atkinson; and his brother Calvin Atkinson. He is survived by: his children, Jera Huff (Kevin), B. J. Atkinson (Mischele), Will Atkinson (Sarah) and Matt Young (Tiffany); his stepchildren, Lisa Pearson (Kevin), Connie Harrison (Mark) and Joey Hardin (Nikki); and his brother Roger Atkinson (Elise). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
