Ferguson of Big Sandy, Tennessee, who passed away on July 10, 2025 at the age of 72, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Jim" Ferguson and Dorothy Cook Ferguson; and his sister Doneta Ferguson. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Brewer Ferguson; his children, Aime Whittle (David) of Newbern and Chris Smith of Houston, Texas.; his grandsons, Austin Richardson (Madi) of Dunlap and Aron Whittle of Newbern, Tennessee; his great grandchildren, Cora and Ava; his siblings, Brenda House of Dyersburg and Dallas Ferguson of Newbern; and his sister-in-law Vicki Williams of Dickson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his honor to the Alice & Carl Kirkland Cancer Center, continuing his legacy of care and responsibility.
