He is survived by: his brother-in-law Donnie; his son Marshall Nicely (Denise); his grandsons, Nathaniel Nicely (Valerie) and Gregory Atkins; his great grandchild Jaxon Nicely; his sister Louise Bailey; his sisters-in-law, Ruby McGee (Wayne), Virginia Bailey, Sue Hickle (Joe) and Flora Wilmoth (Howard); his stepson Ronald Johnson (Susan); his stepgrandson Josh Johnson (Samantha); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Jordan, Bentley and Braxton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Bridges Funeral Home (5430 Rutledge Pike, Knoxville, TN 37924). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Richland Cemetery (148 Nance Ferry Rd, Blaine, TN 37709).
