He is survived by: his children, Samuel Watkins III (Lisa), Scott Watkins (Marie), Shon Watkins (Angela), Charly Watkins and Casey Watkins; his grandchildren, Olivia, Tyler, Hailyn, Laikyn, Talen, Maverick, Tim and Chloe; his siblings, Jim Watkins (Billie), Patricia Watkins, Gary Watkins (Cindy), Janice French (Nick) and Ruby Laxton (Craig); and his sisters-in-law, Pat Watkins and Debbie Watkins.
