She was predeceased by : her parents, Beachard Smith and Easter Rasnake Smith; her grandparents, George, Minnie Smith, Otis and Causby Rasnake; and her brothers, Sonny Smith and Jimmy Smith.

She is survived by : her husband James Cassell; her children, Howard Cassell, Shannon Cassell and Karen Cassell; her granddaughters, Leslie Cassell and Taylor Cassell; and her siblings, Teddy Smith (Ann), Tom Smith (Debbie), Marie Smith, Barbara Smith and Peggy Hartsock (Larry). She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
