We are sad to announce that, on May 9, 2022, at the age of 79, Glenn Eugene Lester Sr. of Blountville, Tennessee, born in Pageton, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Allen and Helen Mercer Lester; his wife Peggy Lester; his son Junior Lester; his sister Barbara Sue; and the mother of his children Barbara Taylor Lester.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Lester-Shrewsbury (Jamie), Susan Swift Arnold (Mike), Stephanie Swift, Stephen Swift (Nicole) and Scott Swift (Kelley); his sisters, Cathy Foy (Sam) and JoAnn Whitteker (Paul); his close friend Larry Jarrett; his grandchildren, Hunter Arnold (Sarah), Aaron Shrewsbury (Hayden), Todd Shrewsbury, Tanner Arnold, Madison Arnold, Dawson Arnold, Chanisha Stewart, Annabelle Swift, Kailynn Swift, McKinley Swift and Cannon Swift; and his great grandchildren, Bo, Mack, Joseph and Brody (Grayson Shrewsbury).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gene's name to either the Wellmont Hospice House, 280 Steeles Road, Bristol, TN 37620, or to Blountville United Methodist Church, 3390 TN-126, Blountville, TN 37617.
