She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin (Lilly Clay Goforth) and Blountville; her husband Ray J. Overbay; her son Danny J. Overbay; and her grandson William "Joey" Overbay.
She is survived by: her children, Frances Cole and Billy Overbay (Debbie); her daughter-in-law Gloria Overbay; her close friend Peggy Lane; and her grandchildren, Jean, Wesley Cole and Misty Potter. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
Flowers will be appreciated or contributions in Jean's memory can be made the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
