He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Emert and Ethel Emert; his former wife Norma Emert; his wife Joann Harrison Emert; his daughter Tammy Caudill; and his brothers, Eddie and Roy Emert.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Christy Gambrell (Mark Gambrell); his granddaughter Whitney Brown (Garrison Brown); his nephew David Emert; and his close friend Travis Shelley.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
