He was predeceased by: his parents, Astor Banks and Mary Banks; his siblings, Carol (Gene Harkness) and Roger Banks; his nephews, Shayne Banks and Mark (Lindsay Trent); and his brother-in-law Don Barker.
He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, Heather Banks, Misty Banks, Tiffany Musser, Bradley Long (Olivia) and Shawn Musser; his adoptive daughter Tamara Foster; his grandsons, Jake Anderson and Zachary Owens; his siblings, Johnny Banks (Darlene), Paulette Caldwell (Dana), Debbie Dye (Ken), Marianne Tompkins (Phil), Danny Banks (Cathy) and Amanda Barker; and his siblings' children, Jackie, Jenny, Julie, Jonathon, Chris, Stephen, Greg, Jeff, Josh, Caleb, Crystal, April, Adam, Nova and Trey.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Emmanuel Baptist Church (2118 Bloomingdale Rd, Kingsport, TN 37660). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
