It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marcelena Irene Hawkins Roberts (Blountville, Tennessee), born in Kingsport, Tennessee, who passed away on December 14, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Arthur Stanley Roberts, Sr.; her son Arthur Stanley Roberts, Jr. (Artie); her parents, Robert B. Hawkins, Sr. and Bertie Bowlin Hawkins; her daughter Carla Diane Roberts; her grandson Allen Michael Roberts; and her siblings, Robert Hawkins, Jr. and Trula Simmons.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Anita Kite; her great grandchildren, Kira Marie Williams, Kaden Allen Michael Roberts and Kyler Brenton Kite; and her niece Joyce Jones. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and a host of lifelong friends.
