He is survived by: his wife Sherry Shaffer; his children, Amanda Shaffer (Nathan Dennison) and Mark Shaffer (Laura Kelliher); his stepgrandchildren, Dillon, Dennis, Teresa and Elizabeth; his siblings, Bobby Shaffer, Dewey Shaffer, Terry Shaffer, Frances Sims and Jeannette Sawyer; and his brothers-in-law, Norman Starnes (Carla), Tommy Starnes (Linda) and Kyle Starnes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to defray expenses.
