He was predeceased by : his parents, Herman H. Bouton and Marie Bouton Leslie; and his sister Garnetta Ford. He is survived by : his caregiver Brenda Goodson Bouton; his daughters, Amy Dulaney (Rick), Diane Bouton (Gordon) and Shannon Wooten; his grandchildren, Joshua Blevins (Makayla), Kelin Dulaney (Alex), Christopher Rachel (Brittany), Megan and Katie Wooten; his great grandchildren, Vada Dulaney, Oaklyn, Audyn McCracken and Weston Rachel; his siblings, Sharon Arnold and Jerry Bouton (Pat); and his friend Gary Shipley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
