He was predeceased by: his wife Laurie Gray McCord; and his parents, Jim McCord and Daphne Gibson McCord. He is survived by: his son James Collin McCord (Kayla); his grandson Carter Myles McCord; his siblings, Ben McCord (Missy) and Corrine McCord Bloom (Bud); his stepdaughter Kristen Gray Batiste (David); his stepgranddaughter Jordyn Thompson Hudlow (David); and his caregiver Penny Hutchinson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Meals on Wheels or the Kidney Foundation in memory of Mark.
