He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert E. Scott and Patricia Ann Scott-Heckathorn; his siblings, Richard Scott and Kimberly Brant; and his nephew Joshua Scott.

He is survived by : his wife Debra Peterson Scott; his children, Nick B. Scott and Jessie Tobias; and his brothers, Terry R. Scott, James L. Scott and John W. Scott.
