She was predeceased by: her parents, Beulah Mae Berry King and Cass Lafayette King of Robeline; her significant other Loyd Thomas Hight; her siblings, Cass Lafayette King, Jr., James William King and Virginia King Freeman; her brother-in-law John Walter Wallace; and her nephews, James Walter Wallace (Jimmy) and Jerry Wayne King, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Cathy Hornsby Frost (Stephen) of Bolivar, Tennessee and Thomas King Hight of Belton; her siblings, Jerry Wayne King (Pat) of Mooringsport, Carl Joseph King (Carol) of Shreveport, Louisiana, Shirley King Brown (Freddie) of Shreveport, Patsy King Atkins (Rodney) of Keithville and Barbara King Wallace of Shreveport, Louisiana; her grandchildren, Erin Hornsby Holcomb (Craig) of Nashville, Brian Thomas Hight (Mandie) of Greenville, Brandon Lee Hight of Greenville and Jordan Hight Barton (Brandon) of Anderson; and her great grandchildren, Elias Jaxx Barton and Serri Barton. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Bolivar First United Methodist Church.
