He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. Mitchell, Sr. and Mildred Maurine Ross Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Glynda Jones Mitchell; his children, Bonnie Mitchell Breeden (Gregg) of Whiteville and Gem Mitchell (Vicki) of Bolivar; his sister Jane Mitchell Powell of Hickory Valley; his grandsons, Dan Breeden (Ashley), Clay Mitchell (Kyley), Lane and Ross Mitchell; and his great grandchildren, Kaizen Mitchell and Viola Rose Breeden.
Memorial contributions in his name may be sent to Bolivar First Methodist Church or Union Cemetery.
