It is with sadness that the passing of Robert Echols (Bolivar, Tennessee) is shared. Robert, born on May 26, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois, passed away on September 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Robert will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Robert by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Robert is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Robert’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lula Motley Echols of Tennessee and Robert Echols of Mississippi; and his grandparents, Jessie Motley and Bessie Normant Motley Edmonds. He is also survived by friends, colleagues, cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hardeman County Funeral Services Chapel (109 S Porter St, Bolivar, TN 38008). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Union Hill Cemetery.
