He was predeceased by: his parents, Rice Dunlap and Ruth Belew Ringold Dunlap; his children, Krista Stockman and Nathan Dunlap; and his siblings, Donald Dunlap, Sarah Kay Dunlap and Norma Gibbs.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Dunlap of Bon Aqua; his son Aaron Dunlap of Bon Aqua; and his sisters, Sue Smith of Huntingdon, Myra Sasser of McKenzie and Ann Wright (Leonard) of McKenzie.
