He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Simpson and Mamie Young Simpson; and his siblings, William, Everet, Dewey, Arlis Simpson and Lois Curlee.
He is survived by: his wife Leola Reed Simpson; his children, Susan Hollis (Gary), Barry Simpson, Eric Simpson (Sherry) and David Simpson (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Brittney Johnson (Ryan), Brent Hollis (Megan), Emily Serfas (Travis), Erica Simpson, Jagar Simpson, Cooper Simpson, Zoe Simpson, Morgan Simpson and Zerian Reyer (Taylor); his great grandchildren, Garrison Hollis, Ronin Johnson, Granger Hollis, Basilah Reyer, Freya Reyer and Harlow Reyer; and his sisters, Edna Taylor and Marie Prater (James). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
